My Batman Figure Collection

I'm not a crazy fan of Batman but I still have certain amount of Batman figures in my office. I know a friend collecting Wonder Woman's stuff like crazy. My collection of Batman is just pre-school level comparing to her WW collection.

LEGO: Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

It's just a simple 10 mins PhotoShop practice (lazy way). When I have time, I will build a MOC of Baffleck's Bruce Wayne home. Stay tuned.

LEGO Star Wars: Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor (75135) vs Jedi Interceptor (75038)

I guess many of Star Wars fans like this Jedi Interceptor design a lot. These two interceptors popped out at the beginning of Revenge of The Sith movie. They brought us the scene of part of the Clone Wars on scene. Very cool.

There is a LEGO interceptor in green: Anakin's Jedi Interceptor (9494). That one is very similar to the a bit newer yellow one (75038). I'm not sure why I totally miss that one at that time. Maybe, it's my personal preference with green color (I don't like it much). It would be cool if I had all 3 putting together for picture... (a bit regret now)

Lots of pro reviewers should have YouTube and blog posts about the detail of this new red Jedi interceptor. I don't want to spend time to do the same thing. You can google them by yourselves. The main thing that I want to say is... This Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor is not bad but it's a lazy product from LEGO if you put Anakin's yellow one side by side.

The wings' details are now using bigger stickers to represent. The red curved "shoulders" are narrower instead of using 4 streamline triangularly bricks like the yellow one.

The droid slot isn't as good as the yellow version. Obi-Wan's droid's shoulders are showing! (I already took out one plate height under the droid but still showing a lot). If you look at the light grey 1x4 plate at the joint of the flipping wing, you will find the red one's uses a 1x4 with 4 studs showing. The yellow one uses 1x4 tile. Of course, you can replace them later. It's your call.

The last thing I want to say is the back. I don't like all 3 Jedi Interceptors' back. They look very unfinished. The red one is the same.

Many people rebuilt the smooth wings with bricks stacking towards the front instead of LEGO's way stacking plates from bottom to top. I believe it is the best way to do the interceptor's MOD version (if you really like Jedi Interceptors and you have time).

Although it's a lazy product, I still like to look at both of them on my shelf.

3rd Party White Base Board for LEGO (32 x 16 Studs)

Lego doesn't offer retail white base board on shelf. When you build a scene like Star Wars Hoth battle then you need a lot of white plates as the snow floor. I tried to order a few 32 x 16 studs base board from Aliexpress.com to see if they are good for that. Surprisingly, they are pretty good and they come with 4 screw holes at the empty studs. It means the screw heads won't affect anything when you build things on. These base boards has many colors to choose and 3 of them are US$7 with free shipping.

LEPIN Star Wars: First Order Snowspeeder (First MOD) & LEGO Standard Issue

I actually purchased the LEGO First Order Snowspeeder before the The Force Awakens in cinema. I returned it to Toy R Us after I found out the whole scene was cut from the movie. During the process of writing blog post about LEPIN, I purchased its Transporter and this Snowspeeder. The experience this time is a bit better because there is no missing parts.

I don't like this Snowspeeder because of the scale problem. It's much larger than the "actual" thing. It should be about the size of a minivan. Other than toys showing you the scale, you can see the official scale and details in the book below...

I believe if LEGO designers could make it smaller, they would do it. However, LEGO has its "LEGO Standard" which is everything has to be firm. Nothing will fall off. At the same time, the "play element" at the engine's stud shooters makes the engine much larger. I think the engines will be the next thing I will work on.

I move the gun 2 studs backward first. It looks a bit closer to the actual thing.

From top: Only the walls occupy 1 stud of space when the speeder should be a car size vehicle. This problem also happens in LEGO's sports car models. When the size is the right ratio with the minifigure, the model can't even hold 2 minifigures side by side.

There are a lot of other MOC online. You can use them as reference to build yours. I don't think I will spend time in this Snowspeeder MOC.

I want to point out the way LEGO designers building the wheels are pretty good (You like the wheels or not). It's not easy.

If you like this model, I strongly recommend the LEGO one. Don't take the risk with LEPIN.
