LEGO Batmobile 76119 Modification

Finally I built/modified a set of Lego after pandemic started. First of all, the set was originally looked like below. What was wrong with the original set to me? I didn't like the front bat plate. The top front of the car wasn't "round" enough. The back of the car was too "blocky". And I didn't like the "engines" on the sides. I liked the yellow wheel covers from this set therefore, I took them away for other builds. This set gave us extra bat logos and I'm "SUPER LOVIN IT!". Thank you Lego!

What I will do next when I have time: I will find a longer wheel axis to make the back of the batmobile wider by one block each side.

My first thing to work on was the front engine if I removed the front Bat plate. This engine design was my old one from a bat motor bike. I moved it from the bike to this 76119 model. I might change it into black later if I had time to search for the parts.

The next thing was the blocky back. I wanted it to be more streamline and looked like the back of a bat.

Side view: I will change the side when I have time.

The top of the car changed too. The original top was light grey with a hotrod engine.

The top of the front above engine was updated to be more rounded. Now is more similar to the classic one in 1989 movie version.

Lego Justice League Batmobile Modification

Justice League movie is coming very soon after Wonder Woman's. Out of my expectation, Justice League's batmobile is almost the same as Batman Vs Superman version. The main difference is Justice League version is a bit taller. The front twin machine guns becomes a rocket launcher. Both sides have two long machine guns and a cannon on the top beside the driver side.

Lego's original BvS version doesn't have the front wheel guards (lazy...) and the upcoming JL version won't have it too (From the leaked image). If you google that leaked image, you will see JL version batmobile is in a largest set. It's pretty unbelievably... bad. Although I think Lego people won't spend a second in my blog from a nobody fan, I really want to say Lego is not making nice sets recently. When Lego's competitions are so weak (MegaBlcks and Kre-O), it really has no need to make things nicely especially the cheaper sets.

(Question pops up... There are so many good MOC people out there. Why don't Megablcks and Kre-O hire them? And why designers at Lego's competitions are so bad?)

Old Lego Bat Wing 2006 (7782)

It was a pretty nicely designed Bat Wing from 2006. This was not a real Lego (I think it's Decool but not sure). In the good old days, Lego had no ugly stud shooters like nowadays. The cannon projectile was hidden inside the tail of the Bat Wing. I changed some grey tiles into black (I don't like grey parts in any Batman vehicle).

I wish I will move to a bigger house to show all Lego Batman vehicles in a custom built batcave :-)

Updated Batmobile from Batman Vs Superman

I updated the Batmobile from Batman Vs Superman (BvS). Actually, it was a nice model from Lego except Lego gave up to build the complicated front side of the car. Lego would do a way better job than most of the MOC people, I think. But Lego designers were limited by budget (brick counts) and the deadly "Play feature included" rule.

Looking it from a better side, Lego left you space for modification in each set...

Updated Batman's Mech Armor

The main updates were on the arms and hands. The hand's design were inspired by a Japanese builder's Instagram. It made the whole armor looked way better. The new way to build these shoulders helped increase the flexibility.

I'm happy with it for now.

Lego DC Super Heros: Batman "The Bat" MOC

"The Bat" is one of the interesting Batman vehicles in Batman movie history. Same as the bold design of Tumbler and "The Pod", it's hard to imagine how it works (flies). The toughest part of building this thing is the bent body with many layers of armors.

Comparing with "Batman vs Superman"'s Batwing design: You should know which director had the guts to accept unique ideas.

Bat Cave MOC On A 32 x 32 Studs Road Plate

This is my looooong time project. I've been planning to build this since 3 years ago (I bought the Lego Road Plates, 3 years ago). The minifigure size Tumbler is also a 3 years project. I just finished the Tumbler 2 weeks ago. This Bat Cave set is a copy of Lego's 6860. I don't even know which brand made this but it's cheap and nice. The set has NO STICKERS. The most ridicules thing is... The seller told me to buy the missing stickers from Lego.

Ok... I can either re-draw them in illustrator and print on transparent labels (Note: I'm a graphic designer + photographer. Adobe software is my life). What about I just leave the sticker issue behind?

The reason why I use the road plate is the position of batmobile. This design will save me a lot of tile bricks. At the same time, it looks nice too.

Not much change in the Bat Computer. I changed the black and yellow cartoon-ist logo into Batman vs Superman's. I think it looks cooler with it.

Weapon storage: I think Batman should have hell a lot of weapons and I think "No guns for Batman" is outdated (See Batman vs Superman's change).

I have a lot of Batman's expendable employees working there (Some of them just died).

Batman's R&D lab. Obviously, he doesn't trust with Superman.

Suit Storage. Not good but let's leave it like this for now.

Batman's armor for Superman battle.

Lots of happy visitors in Batman's jail.

Batman's changing room (See Lego 6860's structure)

Medical Room is a bit empty.

Batman has a lot of gifts for Superman.

Power switch for the Bat Cave and gas station for Batmobiles.

Building Bat Cave is always a fun thing to do.

Batman's Armor MOC

This Batman Armor MOC is based on Lego set 70901 which is The Batman Movie's Mr. Freeze set. The new body part from NEXO Knights series saves a lot of space for building this kind of armor (like Hulkbuster with Ironman inside it). That new part helps people to build a reasonable size model with the small ball joints bricks. It avoids the size problem that Hulkbuster has.

When I have time, I may come back to fine tune it.
