Lego doesn't give us a proper AT-ST from The Last Jedi. Instead, Lego makes a set with half of it but in full price. I think it is an insult to all Lego Star Wars fans/consumers. The people up there expect we will buy it anyway because of the mini figures included with that set. However, sorry Lego... Many people don't like what Finn and Rose did in TLJ. We have Captain Phasma and BB-8 minifigures in other sets. Basically, we don't need to force ourselves to buy that shitty set for the two meaningless figures. I know you may not agree with me. It's ok. If you think like me, please don't buy it or wait until it's dirt cheap on sale. Sending a message back to Lego for not making unfinished products to consumers and fans.
The way to get your The First Order AT-ST is getting Rogue One version (Lego already takes them from shelves). Basically, they are almost the same. Use your skill and imagination to rebuild it. It's easy.
Another long and old project partially done. I wanted to build a Mobile Police Patlabor: Ingram 98 in 2 years ago but I never got it done. I've been looing for a way to build the head at this scale. Until last week, idea suddenly came. I still need some bricks to finish it. Show you the new progress later.
It's an unfinished MOC project. The thing triggered this MOC was the black tires on the loose part tray. I was wondering if I could make something out of the black tires. It was pretty interesting to use the tires as forearms, I think. Then, the arms were the first thing that I built and I followed my usual senses to build the rest.
At this stage, the model is not that firm. Knees fall off easily. I will rebuild it when I have idea... Stay tuned.
The latest Spider-man movie was here last week. After the darkest period of time (Two Amazing Spider-Man movies), Spider-Man movie was back on track again. With Marvel's magic, one of the ugliest Spidy villains: Vulture, who was an hairless old man in green suit and wings, became very cool on screen. He used the alien parts stolen from the Avengers 1 battlefield in NYC to build his wings. Lego's original design wasn't bad but just not cool enough. Lego didn't build the multi-angle rotors inside the ring. So, I just added them to the ring. Because of lacking knives and swords parts, I couldn't change the wing tips into what I wanted. Let's see if I can get some in the future.
I think Lego Iron Man series is something with unlimited fun. Similar to Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark made many many armors and weapons in his lab. It gives Lego hobbyists a lot of inspiration to build their own Iron Man scenes and related creations. I can't stop myself adding things to this Iron Man armor bit by bit. At this stage, I add two weapons to it: rifle and machine gun.
That's how the weird shields work.
Not a great looking machine gun for sure. I will change it later when I get my work done.
Comparing to Detroit Steel, Iron Man armor is more interesting to build.
Using the Ironman Hulkbuster set was the simplest way to get smooth and rounded deep red bricks and golden bricks. Although I still had the feet to finish, I wanted to see if it came out ok in photos. At the same time, I played a bit of the robotic arms shields which was the design of "Gundam: Thunderbolt". Basically, the shields with arms would block projectiles from any angles without occupying any arm. I thought it was a crazy design before I watched Gundam: Thunderbolt.
Now, I think it's an interesting idea.
I tried to put the Hulkbuster's head on it but it didn't look too good.
Justice League movie is coming very soon after Wonder Woman's. Out of my expectation, Justice League's batmobile is almost the same as Batman Vs Superman version. The main difference is Justice League version is a bit taller. The front twin machine guns becomes a rocket launcher. Both sides have two long machine guns and a cannon on the top beside the driver side.
Lego's original BvS version doesn't have the front wheel guards (lazy...) and the upcoming JL version won't have it too (From the leaked image). If you google that leaked image, you will see JL version batmobile is in a largest set. It's pretty unbelievably... bad. Although I think Lego people won't spend a second in my blog from a nobody fan, I really want to say Lego is not making nice sets recently. When Lego's competitions are so weak (MegaBlcks and Kre-O), it really has no need to make things nicely especially the cheaper sets.
(Question pops up... There are so many good MOC people out there. Why don't Megablcks and Kre-O hire them? And why designers at Lego's competitions are so bad?)
