LEGO Star Wars: Han Solo - TIE Fighter

The new TIE Fighter is like a small UCS version. I think it's much better than the First Order version from The Force Awakens.

LEGO Star Wars: Kessel Run Millennium Falcon (75212)

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is coming. Lego's Kessel Run Millennium Falcon (75212) (I will call it Solo version) is now on shelf. In Canada, it is $199.99 which is $20 more expensive than The Force Awakens version (TFA version). The main difference is the extra escape pod (maybe something like Rebel Series' The Phantom attaching to The Ghost). Other than the white color, Solo version is almost 95% the same as TFA version in the structure. The cockpit position issue (too close to the front), the two front triangles' angle/size issue, lots of gaps between sectors, unfinished side docks, etc are not fixed. The white color makes the dark gaps more visible than TFA version (Mine is patched).

However, it is fun to modify as the older ones. I think Solo version Falcon will be another long project to play with.

Lego Star Wars Carbon Freeze Chamber MOC (2017 Progress)

Finally, I got the minifigures that I need for this mini scene. At the beginning, I didn't have Lando, Bespin Guard, and then his assistant, Lobot. I got Lando from the recent A-Wing set. Bespin Guard from 2106's Star Wars Christmas Calendar. Today, I found Lobot in the Twin-pod Cloud Car & Bespin (9678) at a used kids toy event locally.

It was hard to believe I could get all involved people in the iconic "I love you. I know." scene.

Lego Star Wars: Carbon Freeze Chamber 75137 MOC

Lego Star Wars Carbon Freeze Chamber 75137 is a relatively cheaper set recently. It includes the operator, Boba Fett, and Han Solo (and carbon-freezing version). It's not something very cool coming out from the box. The main key selling point should be the minifigures. If you don't do anything to the set, it is just a half carbon freeze chamber with some play features. I don't think it's a very good deal if you expect it gives you the scene in Empire Strikes Back.

So now, I got two sets for getting two operators. Many pieces for this MOC come from my own stock. However, I don't have Lando and his assistant present in this iconic scene. I hope I will get them in other sets later.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is what I made for my wife this year. I think the moment of Han and Leia in Return of the Jedi is priceless. Their love and trust are mature at that moment.

Happy Valentine's Day!
